ZARS Shootout And Rider Challenge Race Results From High Plains Raceway

Deer Trail, CO (July 29) – Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days (ZARS) recently held it’s first track event ever at High Plains Raceway in Colorado, July 25-26. The event included the licensed racer Shootout and Rider Challenge Championships.

Several top riders and racers from across the Midwest, Colorado and Utah rode the full course at High Plains Raceway. The Shootout Series attracted several top MRA racers, including Ryan Burke and Tim Mayhew. The series presented by BlownConcepts.com awarded over $1000 in cash prizes to the top finishers in each of the classes.

Throughout all the sprints on July 25, it was a fierce battle between the racers of the CRA and MRA racing clubs. In GP Expert 3/4 MRA Racer Ryan Burke rode strong for the win with CRA Racer Scott Stall in 2nd and MRA Racer Jim Wilson finishing respectively in 3rd. In the GP Expert 1/2 class, MRA and CRA Racer Adam Bauer put on an incredible performance from start to finish for the win.

In the Novice ranks, MRA Racer Tim Mayhew dominated the field to take the checkered flag with CRA Racer and current points leader Joseph Mastain in 2nd. CRA racer Chris Mattson took home another win to add to his streak in the GP 1/2 class.

ZARS continues to broaden our opportunities with the Rider Challenge for experienced Track Day riders. In the GP3 class on July 25, an exciting battle ensued with father and son battling for the podium. Kyle Franz rode strong to continue his winning streak with an impressive victory with Carter Fose in 2nd and Jim Franz in 3rd.

On July 26, racing intensified and battles ensued. In the expert ranks, Scott Stall led the field from start to finish for the GP 3/4 class while CRA Racer Jesse Nelson finished respectively in 2nd and MRA Racer Tim Meiners in 3rd. In the GP 1/2 class, Adam Bauer took another win in a fierce gird.

In the Novice grids, Tim Mayhew continued his domination with another GP 3/4 win with Joseph Mastain as the runner up. In GP 1/2, CRA Race Paul Satterlee unseated Chris Mattson for the win after a close battle.

In the Rider Challenge, Kyle Franz took home another win after a dominating performance with Carter Fose in 2nd and Matthew Glover in 3rd.

ZARS returns to Brainerd International Raceway, August 8-9.
